This is a spacious family home that was originally built in 1980 of concrete construction. The property faces south and the french windows on the first floor landing allow sunlight to warm up the property in winter and provide cooling breezes in the summer.
The plan of the property is very straightforward. On the ground floor there is a large living room with open fire and an understairs storage cupboard for keeping wood. Downstairs WC, dining room that could be used as a fifth bedroom of required. The kitchen is large but really needs to be refitted as it is fairly simple. There is a capacious electrically-heated water tank for the hot water. Next to the kitchen there is a spacious store room which could be used as a utility room. On the first floor, large landing where it would be possible to add a balcony. Four double bedrooms; family bathroom.
There is a small terrace outside the front door and another seating area at one end of the property.
The house is in very good condition and ready to move in to.
Moclín is a small but bustling village in the most spectacular location, on top of a mountain at 1,065 metres above sea level, crowned by a 13th Century Moorish castle. The village has 2 bars and a third chiringuito that is open during the summer. There is a small supermarket, a pharmacy and a cash ATM. Buses run into Granada, which is 35 minutes away by car. The nearest large supermarkets are in Pinos Puente or Alcalá la Real.
Moclín hosts one of the most important classical religious festivals in Andalucia. Every 5th October between 15,000 - 20,000 people descend on the village to celebrate the Fiestas en Honor del Santísimo Cristo del Paño. The 13th Century Moorish castle was where Isabel and Fernando stayed for 6 years before the capture of Granada.
There are extensive hiking routes in the area, and cycling is a very popular sport here.
